Steve Berglund whose work you usually can see at the Chris Sorensen Studio, has a special engagement at the K-Jewel Art Gallery. Berglund is a Foundry Pattern Artist who began collecting patterns in the early 1970s. He repurposes the molds, which were used to manufacture metal objects for commercial and industrial use, into objects of art.

Berglund writes "There are thousands of Foundries in the U.S. with millions of one-of-a-kind patterns and molds stored on shelves waiting to be discovered. I call them "Relics from the Past" because each one has a special time and place in our historical development."

Joining Berglund at K-Jewel will be mixed-media painter Andrew Parker Watrous and the musical group Acoustic High-way.
