Two Sided Master Plan

This two sided Master pattern was retrieved from a box car destined for a land fill from the parking lot at Peabody Floway in 1974 when they were located on Clovis Avenue in Fresno.

The foundry instructions you see on both sides of this master pattern were instructions applied by a frustrated supervisor.

Shot Put And Master Mold #4

I mounted this aluminum Master Pattern Shot Put on top of the matching Master Mold. These patterns are from Mid State Metal Casting formerly the Lindell Pattern company from the 1920s. These Patterns were made for the Universal Gym Company in the late 50s or early 60s. The end product was a shot put attached to the end of a work out bench attached to a cable.

This two sided Pine Master Pattern is from Mid State Metal Casting in Fresno-formerly the Lindell Pattern Company from the 1920s.

This Pattern was made for the Universal Gym Company to train shot putters. The final shot put was attached to a cable pulley on the end of a work out bench.

This Master Pattern is from the Lindell Pattern Company founded in1920. It is currently Mid State Metal Casting in Fresno California.

"Fresno Fire District" was hand written on the side of the aluminum. Notice is the initial W barely visible on one side-perhaps to identify the Pattern Maker.

This two sided Master pattern was saved/recycled from Peabody Floway in 1975 when they were located on Clovis Avenue.

A friend at Peabody gave me permission to sort through hundreds of discarded patterns loaded in a box car and I collected over seventy five of them.
